Texas gasoline prices drop 7 cents this week

The Houston Chronicle -- IRVING, Texas — The fall in the price of crude oil is reflected with a drop in the average retail cost of gasoline in Texas this week.

AAA Texas on Friday reported a 7-cent decline in gasoline prices, settling at an average $3.92 per gallon.

Nationally, the average price for self-serve regular slipped 9 cents, to reach $4.02.

In Detroit it is as low as $3.63 a gallon!!!

This coming week will be very interesting. Will the price of oil go down further, stay the same or increase. It is assumed that the if the price goes down, the fuel price will go down just a little, if the price goes up the fuel price will go up much more. I have not heard much more about Nigeria and storms so let's hope the price will go down, following the fall in consumer purchases.

Lucky folk in TX to have prices drop. The other day they said the price of gas WAs under $4.00 a gallon in Tacoma, WA but they forgot the say that WAs on the Indian reservation and their WAs no road taxes on the fuel.

The gas price trend arrow has been pointing down for the past 10 days now...that has to be a recorded.

Our gas prices have dropped 51 cents since July 17th.
