The oil & gas industry has been receiving a lot of bad press lately. This can happen when any powerful group convinces themselves that they can lie or buy their way out of anything. With great power and wealth comes great responsibility. On that point, the fossil fuel industries get a failing grade, IMHO.

I don't think it's so much anyone affiliated with any industry doing this. I'm guessing it's someone who is mad at the site for either banning them or the way they're dealing with news. PD is on it, and I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of it at some point. Though I still say it's sad that so few votes can have such an influence -- if the site would just publicize how to vote for articles and it took 500 or more votes to hit the home page, the problem might go away?

Green is Red, until such time they find they have been poisoned by their very environment, see it their big oil buddies will back them then.
